PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning clamp apparatus capable of reducing variations in clamp force. SOLUTION: This clamp apparatus 1 is provided with a housing 2, a clamp rod 3 movably attached to the housing 2, a plurality of guide grooves 6 arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction on the outer circumferential surface on the other end side of the clamp rod 3, a plurality of fitting members 7 fitted in the guide grooves, a first sliding section 3a slidably fitted in the housing 2, which is arranged on one end side of the clamp rod 3, a second sliding section 3b slidably fitted in the housing 2, which is arranged on the other end side of the clamp rod 3, and a driving means driving the clamp rod 3. The outer circumferential surface of a guide groove forming section 3c on the other end side of the clamp rod 3 is separated from the housing 2 relative to the second sliding section 3b over the entire circumference of the clamp rod 3.
