PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly block which is comparable in size to the body of a little child or a child, has a soft surface and is suitable for intellectual training. SOLUTION: The the outer surface part of the assembly block 1 at least includes a soft material, and the outer peripheral edge part 2 and vertex angle part 3 of the assembly block 1 are formed into a smooth convex curved surface. Cylindrical projection parts 10 are formed at one surface part 4 of the assembly block 1, and a peripheral direction groove 12 pointed in the peripheral direction is respectively formed at the outer peripheral surface parts 11 of the cylindrical projection parts 10. Prism-like recessed parts to which the cylindrical projection parts 10 of the other assembly block 1 can be loosely fitted are formed at the other surface part of the assembly block 1, and a projecting line which can be engaged with the groove 12 of the cylindrical projection part 10 is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the prism-like recessed part.
