PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate both a fishing rod and a reel, using only one hand. SOLUTION: An ultrasmall electric reel 30 is mounted freely detachably on the fishing rod and is constituted of a cylindrical body part 11, including a micro motor and the reel 15 built therein, and a power source part 25 installed on the undersurface thereof. An opening 17 is provided in the body part in the upper part of the reel 15, and a fishing line is introduced from the opening 17 into the reel 15 and wound therearound. Flange parts 15f at both ends of the reel 15 are formed into a broad state, and a plurality of anti-slip transverse grooves are formed on the outer peripheral surfaces thereof. Rotation of the reel 15 during driving and rotating can be braked or stopped by pressing against the outer peripheral surfaces with a finger. The rotating shaft 15s of the reel 15 is cantilever-supported on the side of the rotating, and driving shaft of the micro motor and the rotating shaft 15s of the reel crosses the longitudinal direction of the fishing rod at right angles. A power source switch 20 is turned on, to energize the micro motor from the power source part 25 and the fishing line is wound from the opening 17 onto the reel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
