PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of a battery by effectively suppressing discharge of the battery when stored in a single battery unit, and to immediately read out information stored in the battery unit irrespective of a battery status in the battery unit in an electronic instrument and the battery unit.

SOLUTION: The electronic instrument connectable to the battery unit including an electronic circuit and a battery is configured to have a power supply circuit that directly supplies power supply voltage to the electronic circuit.
