PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector design, which satisfies requirements concerning sterile range maintenance, reliable high-performance elements, assembling easiness, and an easily understandable connection method. SOLUTION: An optical catheter connector is provided with a hollow catheter ferrule 166 that has an opening, a fiber connector 160 rotatably housed in the catheter ferrule 166, an optical fiber positioned along the rotation axis of the fiber connector 160, and a connector bush 177 housed in the catheter ferrule 166, and installed on the fiber connector 160.
