<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake device for contributing to improved ride comfort while suppressing a change of acceleration even when carrying out canceling operation of a parking brake after starting a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The disc brake device comprises a parking brake mechanism for operating an electric motor 20 as a driving source to supply hydraulic pressure from a hydraulic means 2 into a caliper 24 in accordance with a command from a main control device 10 so that a piston is propelled and the piston is mechanically held at a braking position even after releasing hydraulic pressure. In the case that a driver starts the vehicle as the parking brake remains applied, the main control means 10 functions to supply predetermined hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic means 2 to the caliper 24 and to cancel the parking brake mechanism with the rotation of the electric motor 20 when a shift P→D signal is input. Thus, when a parking brake canceling signal is input thereafter, the hydraulic pressure is simply released from the caliper 24, resulting in good riding comfort with acceleration involving no deceleration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
