VIDEO INFORMATION TRANSMITTER, VIDEO INFORMATION TRANSMITTING METHOD, AND VIDEO INFORMATION RECEIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the copyright of an information provider and secure image quality to satisfy a user when inputting high-definition (HD) video information and outputting the information to an external device.

SOLUTION: The high-definition (HD) video information is converted into video information for the progressive scanning of standard (SD) scanning lines and the converted information is outputted. Control information which defines the conversion is added to the video information. Thus, the output information is deteriorated to prevent high-quality copy, and does not cause the dissatisfaction of the user because of progressive scanning. In addition, it is easy to perform an arithmetic processing operation for scanning line conversion.
