PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic imaging apparatus capable of surely recognizing the overall distribution condition of a contrast medium easily by one imaging action in an imaging area wherein the contrast medium is distributed widely from a shallow part to a deep part. SOLUTION: B mode image information of a plurality of frames is obtained while irradiating a subject with the ultrasonic waves of a sound pressure for destroying the contrast medium by a partial high luminance image acquisition process in a step S304, and maximum value projection image information which is composite image information or parameter value image information is formed from the B mode image information and is displayed by a composite image formation process in a step S305. Thus, density distribution information of the contrast medium in the entire imaging area is obtained by one imaging action, and the density distribution information of the imaging area is easily recognized as one sheet of the composite image information further.
