PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling-embedded type air conditioner concealing an interior from a gap by heightening at least a sash bar of the most end edge of a suction grille at a back face side, and improving strength. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is provided with the suction grille hinged to a decorative panel and comprised by having a slide type lock piece 5c secured to the decorative panel and the multiplicity of parallel sash bars. The air conditioner is composed so that in the sash bars 5e of the suction grille 5, at least the sash bar 5e" of an edge is extended higher at the back face side by an extension part 5e" higher than the other sash bars 5e.
