PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device to create a depth image regarding a depth image coding method that can effectively reduce a bit generation rate and improve a coding efficiency using a reference image obtained by using one or more cameras and also to provide a method to code/decode the created depth image.

SOLUTION: The invention is a depth image creation method that includes a step (a) to obtain the depth image at a view point to set it to the reference image, a step (b) to apply a 3D warping method to the reference image to predict and create the depth image at a specific view point, and a step (c) to remove a hole from the predicted and created depth image.
