PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency analyzer for an artificial cochlea, in simple constitution without requiring a battery for supply of power, with favorable usability, in which inputted sound waves can be precisely decomposed to specific frequencies. SOLUTION: The device comprises an upper structure 100 and a lower structure 200. The upper structure 100 includes a first board 110 forming a nano-wire contact part 120. The lower structure 200 includes: a second board 210 forming a space part 220 in which fluid is filled; a base bottom film 230; a plurality of electrodes 240 formed on the base bottom film 230; and a plurality of nano-wires 290 formed on the upper surfaces of the electrodes 240, which are deformable, and have piezoelectric characteristics. As the sound waves are input to the lower structure 200, fluid flows to cause the base bottom film 230 to move till the nano-wires 290 get in contact with the nano-wire contact part 120. Based on the piezoelectric characteristics of the nano-wires 290, electric signals are generated based on the frequency of the inputted sound waves. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
