PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method which achieves communication between apparatuses respectively equipped with computers in an inexpensive manner by a simple mechanism comparing to conventional methods. SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 writes information to be transmitted to the other apparatus 2 in a storage region 12 enabling the external access as needed by setting the storage region 12 which enables external access through a communication line 3 in a storage device of the computer of the apparatus 1. A computer of the other apparatus 2 accesses to the storage region 12 at regular intervals, reads out the information written in the storage region 12, and performs the operation to make the computer 1 determin that the other apparatus reads out the information. Consequently, both apparatuses mutually recognize statuses by monitoring the storage region by both apparatuses without creating a communication feature in each of the apparatuses 1, 2 or achieve data passing to enable the effective communication between the apparatuses.
