PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lift/lower a step board in a simple structure in a step device. SOLUTION: The step device 10 having the step board 14 on which a person seated on the seat puts the feet, and a vertical slide mechanism 16, slidingly moving vertically the step board 14 is further provided with: a link 22 having one end rotationally connected to the step board 14 and having a predetermined length; a horizontal slide mechanism 24 horizontally slidingly moving the other end of the link 22; and moving control means 30 and 32 provided in the seat side and preventing the other end of the link 22 from being horizontally slidingly moved by the horizontal slide mechanism 24 at a predetermined lift position of the step board 14.
