The assembly (1) has drive wheels (2', 2'') comprising a rotor casing (3) standing in effective connection with a traction unit. A hub (5) is connected with a drive axis (4) of the assembly in a torque-proof manner. A damping device (6) is actively arranged between the rotor casing and the hub for avoiding rotational vibrations. The hub is connected with the rotor casing by interconnecting the damping device using a shaft (7) that extends partially through the assembly. The shaft is arranged concentric to the drive axle of the assembly, where the drive axle is formed as a hollow cylinder.
