The device has two tensioning arms (70, 72) provided with thread guide elements (71, 73). The tensioning arms are adjustable relative to each other. The guide elements are formed and arranged such that the guide elements are entangled by a thread (22) by adjustment of the tensioning arms. A delimitation element (74) and the tensioning arm (70) are adjustable relatively to each other such that the thread between the delimitation element and the guide element (71) is clampable. The tensioning arms are adjustable relative to each other by a rotary movement and a translatory movement.
