The arrangement has magnetic sensors e.g. hall sensors, detecting changes of physical variables as digital evaluatable signals based on rotation angle changes of a rotating component i.e. gearwheel. Optical receivers (2) are fixedly attached in a circle corresponding to rotation of the component. A rotating diaphragm (4) is rotated by the component and directs a physical signal e.g. magnetic signal, of a fixed optical transmitter (3) acting as a magnetic transducer, in an area in which the receivers are arranged. The transmitter is arranged in an area of a rotation axis (12) of the component.
