Method and device for engraving print drums

The method involves engraving an engraving unit in printing elements with small cups in a printing cylinder and designed for laminar engraving of a feed motion parallel to the longitudinal axis of a printing cylinder. A printing image or layout is subdivided in two engraving rods lying side by side in axial direction for a respective printing cylinder. An independent claim is included for a device for engraving of impression cylinders for packing, decoration or wallpaper printing in an electronic engraving machine.
