<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow extruded shape having performance capable of comparing favorably with the performance of a shape integrally formed by firmly engaging a plurality of dividedly formed shape components with each other, and an engagement structure of the shape. <P>SOLUTION: This hollow extruded shape comprises one shape component 1 and the other shape component 2 forming the hollow extruded shape by engagement. On shape component 1 has engagement parts 3a, 3b, and the other shape component 2 has parts to be engaged 4a, 4b. The opposed portions of the contact parts between the engagement parts 3a, 3b and the parts to be engaged 4a, 4b have hole-forming grooves, respectively, to form an insertion hole. An elastic or soft bar of generally same length as the insertion hole is inserted into the insertion hole. A pressing device for pressing both ends of the bar in the longitudinal direction toward the bottom of the insertion hole is fitted into one and the other hole openings of the insertion hole. The bar is deformed in the insertion hole in the enlarging direction by the pressing force of each pressing device, and a part of the bar is brought into contact with the inner peripheral wall of the insertion hole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
