A pharmaceutical compositions, comprising <UL ST="-" COMPACT=COMPACT> <LI>Artemether or arteether, <LI>A pharmaceutically acceptable excipient selected from: <UL ST="-" COMPACT=COMPACT> <LI>medium chain length triglycerides; <LI>short chain triglycerides; <LI>omega-3 marine triglycerides; <LI>fish oil rich in omega-3; the composition being formulated for transmucosal sublingual, buccal or nasal delivery. Also disclosed is a medicament delivery device containing the composition. The composition is for the treatment and prophylaxis of malaria. |
