The arrangement has a seal ring (1) for sealing U-shaped seal gaps (2) between machine elements (3, 4), where the ring is congruently formed for the seal gaps and includes a bottom (5) and an open edge (6) that turns away from bottom. The open edge has a peripheral side circumferential bead-shaped bulge (7). The bulge is fixable in a recess of one of the machine elements in force and/or form-fit manner. A pitch is axially arranged between the open edge and the bottom, where the pitch extends in radial direction. The ring is made of a soft metal or from a soft metal coated with an elastomer.
