The invention relates to the foundry engineering. A method of manufacturing sand molds using the models, which are absorbed by mold sand, includes forming the model from cellular polystyrene and its pass in liquid state by its dissolution by liquid solvent, moreover for manufacturing molds and forming mold is used the sand, which does not contain a binding agent, and as a solvent turpentine oil is used, and during dissolution and absorption of model gas rarefication is created in the sand. The method provides for combination of model removal and strengthening the mold at improvement of the quality of castings and reduction of manufacturing costs. |
