A knurling head for rolling of spiral surface on the cylindrical billets includes a composite housing made from two parts, knurls and a mechanism of transfer of the torque. Additionally it includes three similar shafts installed in the housing at an angle of 120° one to another with possibility of free running on angular-contact bearings with knurls located on them and made in the form of sets of conical shape. The mechanism of torque transfer is made in the form of a reducer, which consists of an internal spur-gear cylindrical casing installed in one of the parts of the housing with possibility of rotation in antifriction bearings and which enters into engagement with helical gears rigidly fixed directly on the shafts. The angle of inclination of the tooth of helical gears is equal to the angle of inclination of the helix of edges, which are formed on the cylindrical billet. |
