<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a fuel consumption rate and to prevent a motor generator from generating heat during high speed traveling in a power device in a vehicle having the motor generator. <P>SOLUTION: The power device in the vehicle has a transmission 12 which transmits driving force of an engine 10 to an output shaft 16 jointed to driving wheels, and the motor generator 20 which is jointed to the output shaft through a power transmitting mechanism 17, works as a motor which drives the output shaft together with the engine when current is supplied, and works as a generator when being driven by the output shaft. The power transmitting mechanism is provided with a centrifugal clutch 25 which cuts off power transmission between the output shaft and the motor generator during the predetermined high speed traveling in which traveling resistance applied to the driving wheels becomes larger than the driving force of the driving wheels by the motor generator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
