PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method with a photocatalyst, in which the amount of the photocatalyst to be used wastefully can be minimized though photocatalysis is exhibited in high efficiency when the surface of an article such as printed matter is coated with the photocatalyst and to provide photocatalyst-coated paper coated with the photocatalyst by this coating method. SOLUTION: The coating method with the photocatalyst includes the steps of: mixing titanium dioxide 1 powder with neutral or alkaline water 2 to prepare a photocatalyst aqueous solution 3; applying the prepared photocatalyst aqueous solution 3 to the surface of a printed matter body 5; and evaporating the water of the applied photocatalyst aqueous solution 3 naturally or forcibly to coat the surface of the printed matter body 5 with the photocatalyst. As a result, the majority of the coated photocatalysts can be in contact with the atmosphere, thereby enabling highly efficient photocatalysis. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
