The fuel supply device has a hydrogen storage, particularly a cryogenic tank and a pressure increasing device for hydrogen. A heating or cooling medium is a mass flow of an operating material of the consumer, particularly exhaust gas or coolant of the consumer. A part of the mass flow flows through a heat exchanger. A pressure-resistant vessel (4) forms a part of the heat exchanger.
