<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation procedure displaying method of a printing apparatus which can display an maintenance animation of the printing apparatus without preparing a memory for storing animation data which needs a big capacity of the printing apparatus when needing operation required for paper jamming elimination, toner refilling, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A host equipment has a storage means for storing the animation data of the operation procedure of the printing apparatus, and a printer driver which includes a program for monitoring state information of the printing apparatus, reads the animation data showing the operation procedure from the storage means based on the state information of the printing apparatus supplied from the printing apparatus, transmits the animation data to the printing apparatus, and displays the transmitted animation information to the liquid crystal displaying part of the printing apparatus. Thereby, the corresponding maintenance and interchange operation procedure of consumable articles can be displayed with animation in the printing apparatus even if the printing apparatus does not store the animation data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
