ANTIREFLECTION FILM, POLARIZING PLATE, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND PRODUCTION METHOD OF TRANSPARENT SUPPORT FOR ANTIREFLECTION FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided an antireflection film in which the particle diameter of a fine particle added in a transparent support and the refractive index difference are controlled to respective appropriate ranges, thereby achieving a good jet-black color and at the same time, when disposed on an image display device, ensuring glare prevention and good contrast ratio and a production method thereof.

SOLUTION: The antireflection film has at least a hard coat layer on a transparent support, wherein the transparent support has irregularities formed by first fine particles having an average primary particle diameter of ≥3 μm and ≤12 μm and a thickness of the hard coat layer is ≥3 μm and ≤15 μm.
