PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device which allows a display part to be viewed from directions other than from above as well in a state of being stably placed on a desk or the like. SOLUTION: A terminal device 1 includes a first enclosure 10, a second enclosure 20, and a hinge part 30 which couples the second enclosure 20 to the first enclosure 10 so that they are freely folded and opened. The hinge part 30 includes: a stop means which stops the first enclosure 10 and the second enclosure 20 in a state of opening at a prescribed folding angle between a folded state and a state of maximum opening; and a stabilizing means which is provided at least one of a first end part opposite to the hinge part 30 of the first enclosure 10 and a second end part opposite to the hinge part 30 of the second enclosure 20 and stabilizes the first enclosure 10 and the second enclosure 20 with respect to an installation surface which the first end part and the second end part are brought into contact with, in a state where the first enclosure 10 and the second enclosure 20 are stopped at the prescribed folding angle by the stop means.
