PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a composite resin composition in which the coefficient of thermal expansion of a member is reduced while maintaining transparency. SOLUTION: The method for producing the composite resin composition containing inorganic particles in a polymer comprises adding a solvent having a melting point not lower than that of pure water into a dispersion containing core-shell particles, obtained by forming a shell on respective inorganic fine particles in a liquid phase, then making particles, obtained by the freeze-drying of the resulting mixture, into a dried powder, and compositing the dried powder with a resin.
