摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively and rapidly producing high-quality zinc oxide (ZnO) fine wires in large quantities with high efficiency. SOLUTION: In the method for producing zinc oxide fine wires, in a heating furnace (e.g. an electric furnace), a mixed starting material of zinc oxide powder and carbon powder is heated to 1,000-1,100°C and evaporated using air or a mixed gas of air and nitrogen as a carrier gas, crystal growth is performed to form zinc oxide fine wires, and the zinc oxide fine wires are led by the carrier gas to the outside of the heating furnace and cooled. A preferred flow rate of the carrier gas is 300-3,000 SCCM, the starting material is preferably put in a heat resistant vessel, and the cooling is preferably performed by depositing the zinc oxide fine wires on a substrate at room temperature.
