PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high grade lens array free from air-space. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the lens array includes: a step of arranging a glass substrate 28 and a lens base material 30 between an upper mold 22 and a lower mold 24 which face each other and to which molding surfaces 22a, 24a are provided; a step of heating the glass substrate 28 and the lens base material 30 to a prescribed molding temperature; and a step of pressing the glass substrate 28 and the lens base material 30 by moving the upper mold 22 and the lower mold 24 to come close to form a lens part 30' and joining and integrating a substrate part 28' and the lens part 30'.
