PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make hooking hard to occur between top and bottom boxes, to make a recess hard to be generated on a lid surface even when an article is placed on the top, and in addition, to make a material layout easy to perform, to make the positioning in bending easy to perform as well, and to enable the productivity to be increased as a result. SOLUTION: This carton box 10 is built up into a rectangular parallelepiped shape by bending side plates, a lid plate and a bottom plate. In the carton box 10, on the butting end edge 43a of a third lid plate 43, an insertion piece 45 is projected. The butting end edge 41a of a first lid plate 41 is constituted of a ridge folding section 48 when a reinforcing plate 46 connected with the distal end is bent inward in a manner to be stacked on the lower surface of the lid plate.
