PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dicarboxylic acid suitable for a method producing polyester with an objective molecular weight in an industrially advantageous and effective producing method. SOLUTION: The dicarboxylic acid contains sulfur and nitrogen atoms in the weight ratio of above 0 to 10 based on the weight of sulfur atom/the weight of nitrogen atom. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
