The method involves emitting light beams of different colors from LEDs (1, 2). A luminance reference value corresponding to desired luminance of an LED lamp with respect to a maximum luminance is received. Color temperature is selected based on the reference value, where the color temperature corresponds to color temperature of a full radiator. The LEDs are controlled for adjusting the selected color temperature with respect to the desired luminance. A control current is supplied to the LEDs, to adjust the selected color temperature. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for controlling light emission of an LED lamp (2) a computer program for performing a method for controlling light emission of an LED lamp.
