<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously analyze an electrode characteristic such as an electrode reaction including an oxidizing capability and a reducing capability and a catalysis, and a by-product generating capability such as a hydrogen peroxide generating capability in a plurality of to-be-analyzed electrodes. <P>SOLUTION: A counter electrode 11, a reference electrode 10 and a scan electrode 12 are immersed in an electrolytic solution 5. A plurality of the to-be-analyzed electrodes 16a are insulated, and immersed in the electrolytic solution 5. A constant potential is applied to the scan electrode 12. A constant potential is applied to the to-be-analyzed electrodes 16a, or a potential is swept. A current change due to the electrode reaction between the scan electrode 12 and the to-be-analyzed electrodes 16a is detected. The to-be-analyzed electrodes 16a are maintained in a state that they are insulated by insulative substrates.
