<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound field control device which has a wide service area and provides sound image localization and the presence of a 7.1 channel, with a 5.1 channel speaker structure in installing a speaker of multichannel-sound-reproduction generation, such as home theater. <P>SOLUTION: A speaker system of a 5.1 channel sound field reproduction system is formed by arranging a front L-channel speaker, a front R-channel speaker, and a pair of surround speakers with equal sound pressure frequency characteristics on the right rear and left rear of a viewing position so as to obtain the sound image localization and the presence of the 7.1 channel. The sound field control device includes sound quality correction equalizers 1-4 and multipliers 5-8 for realizing equal sound quality and sound image localization, by using a 5.1-channel speaker on a reproduction component, among the 7.1-channel signal, of the pair of surround speakers which are eliminated to simplify installation, and comprises adders 9, 10 for distributing and adding the signal to the installed 5.1-channel speaker. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
