PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of electron emission elements due to irradiation of positive ions generated in a panel. SOLUTION: Deflection electrodes 315 are periodically arranged, an electron beam trajectory 921 is deflected by arranging an electron emission area of the electron emission elements 55 so as not to include a center line G-H between adjacent deflection electrodes, and the positive ions generated are prevented from irradiating on the electron emission area.
