PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear structure of a vehicle body capable of facilitating repair of a plastic-deformed vehicle body due to a rear-end collision at low cost. SOLUTION: The rear structure of a vehicle includes: a lower back panel 4 to be mounted at each rear end of a pair of right and left side members 3, 3; a pair of right and left crush boxes 18, 18 which protrude backward from the rear end of each side member 3; and a cross member 19 to be mounted at both of the crash boxes 18, 18. Midway parts of the lower back panel 4 and the cross member 19 in the width direction of the vehicle 1 are provided adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle 1. When an impact force F is applied to the cross member 19 from backward, the crash box 18 is plastic-deformed by the force F, causing the cross member 19 to move forward and pushing the midway portion of the cross member 19 against the midway portion of the lower back panel 4, thus plastic-deforming the lower back panel 4.
