A polymer electrolyte membrane for a direct methanol fuel cell is provided to increase a permeation rate of water and decrease a permeation rate of methanol using a microporous titanium silicate particle, thereby improving current density and maximum power density. A polymer electrolyte membrane for a direct methanol fuel cell comprises the following steps of: preparing a microporous titanium silicate particle whose pore size is larger than a water molecule and smaller than a methanol molecule; evenly mixing a plurality of microporous titanium silicate particles to a polymer solution for an ion exchange film; evaporating a solvent of the mixing solution; and heating a solvent evaporated resultant to obtain a polymer electrolyte film. |
