PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device with little waveform distortion of output voltage and output current in spite of its simple, compact, and inexpensive circuit structure. SOLUTION: The discharge lamp lighting device 10 is provided with a switching circuit 11 and a step-up transformer T1. Winding of the step-up transformer T1 at an input side is structured of a first primary winding Wp1 and a second primary winding Wp2 with an intermediate tap P1 as a common point. A first output terminal A of the switching circuit 11 is connected to one end of the first primary winding Wp1, a second output terminal B of the switching circuit 11 is connected to an end of the second primary winding Wp2, one end a capacitor Cf is connected to the intermediate tap P1 of the step-up transformer T1, and the other end of the capacitor Cf is connected to the second output terminal B of the switching circuit 11 together with the one end of the second primary winding Wp2. With this, an LC filter circuit is structured by self-inductance of the first primary winding Wp1 and capacitance of the capacitor Cf. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
