PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of a reagent (sample) used for reaction inspection or the like for screening in drug development, life science or the like. SOLUTION: First of all, an oil 31 is sucked, and then a target compound 41 is sucked into a pipette 14. The target compound 41 is discharged from the pipette 14, and a droplet 41a of the target compound 41 is arranged on the bottom surface of a container 16 filled with the oil 31. Then, a reaction compound 42 in the pipette 14 is sucked. The reaction compound 42 is discharged from the pipette 14 in the container 16 to form a droplet 42a of the reaction compound 42, and the droplet 42a is brought into contact with the droplet 41a to fuse therewith. Occurrence of a reaction between the droplet 41a and the droplet 42a caused by contact fusion is analyzed in an observation system, and a reacted reaction compound 42 is adopted as a medicine candidate.
