PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner improved in working efficiency in electric work or service maintenance, having a wide suction space of a blower and having superior performance. SOLUTION: This indoor unit of the air conditioner includes a housing 1a composed of a top plate 2, a bottom plate 3 and a back plate 4, and is provided with an air distribution chamber 7 provided with a fan casing 6 incorporating the blower 5, a heat exchanging chamber 9 defined from the air distribution chamber 7 by a partitioning plate 10 and provided with a heat exchanger 8, and a power source board 12 incorporating electric components (not shown in figure) such as a substrate and disposed on a lower face of the bottom plate 3. Installation work such as wiring can be improved without disturbed by the fan casing incorporated in the air distribution chamber 7, further the suction space of the blower 5 can be increased and suction resistance can be reduced as the power source board 12 is not disposed in the air distribution chamber 7, and the performance of the air conditioner can be improved. Further the wiring to a motor (not shown in figure) for driving the blower can be shortened, so that the arrangement of wiring can be simplified. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
