PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate packing box which can reliably fit a lid body to a box body even when a resin molded articles molded by a bead foaming method or the like and having poor dimensional accuracy are used as the box body and the lid body, and can be stacked without any unreasonable stress to be exerted in a glass substrate. SOLUTION: The glass substrate packing box 1 includes the box body 2 with its upper end being opened, and the lid body 3 fitted to the box body 2 to close its upper end opening, and holds a plurality of glass substrates G by a plurality of holding grooves 4a and 5a of glass holding parts 4 and 5 arranged in the box body 2 and a plurality of holding grooves 6a of a glass holding part 6 arranged on the lid body 3 in a longitudinal posture in a state arrayed in parallel with intervals therebetween. A spacer 7 with the elasticity higher than that of the glass holding part 6 is interposed between the lid body 3 and the glass holding part 6 arranged on the lid body 3.
