PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a coated positive active material having high capacity and high output characteristics; a positive electrode for a nonaqueous secondary battery; a nonaqueous secondary battery; and the manufacturing methods of them.

SOLUTION: The nonaqueous secondary battery 100 includes a positive electrode 155 having a positive current collector member 151 made of metal and a positive active material 153 comprising a lithium-metal composite oxide. The surface of the positive active material 153 is coated with a lithium salt 158 having an average thickness of 20-50 nm.
