PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling an opening/closing device so as to prevent excessive rise of inner temperature of a projector. SOLUTION: In the method of controlling the opening/closing device in the projector 1, the projector 1 is cooled by sucking and exhausting cooling air through opened louvers 7a, 8a and 9a after operation to apply a power source. When power supply to the projector 1 is abnormally cut off without performing disconnecting operation of the power source, the projector 1 is cooled by the cooling air by supplying alternative power from a capacitor 17 (step S20), and opening the louvers 7a, 8a and 9a again (step S21). After the projector 1 is cooled for a predetermined time (step S24), the louvers 7a, 8a and 9a are closed (step S25). COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
