PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advertisement method by a direct mail capable of saving earth resources and enhancing the effect of the direct mail by reusing an envelope of the direct mail with a lot or a quiz question as a return postcard or envelope. SOLUTION: In the advertisement method, a lottery number of a lottery or a question of a quiz is printed on the surface side (the front of the envelope) of a front part 2a of an envelope body 2 or the surface side (the back of the envelope) of a rear part 2b of the envelope body 2 so that a recipient of the envelope may be interested in it. A recipient information carrying part 30 for return is provided at the front part 2a or the rear part 2b of the envelope body 2, and the address and the name of the recipient are printed on the recipient information carrying part 30 so that the recipient information carrying part 30 can be used as the front side of the return envelope or the front side of the return postcard.
