PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech recognition device which accurately determines a candidate in a processing with reduced memory capacity at the time of rejection. SOLUTION: The speech recognition device 1 outputs the candidates whose score is a prescribed threshold or more, the score being obtained by searching a grammar 20 for recognizing speech on the basis of a prescribed feature amount about input speech, as a recognition result, and rejects the candidates whose score is less than the prescribed threshold. The speech recognition device 1 selects the candidate whose score is the highest in the candidates whose score is less than the prescribed threshold at the time of rejection, and determines the candidate whose score is the highest, when the number of selection or rejection cycles becomes the prescribed number of cycles or more, as the recognition result.
