PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining device adopting advantages of a vertical type machining device to a horizontal shaft type machining device, and stably and accurately machining a large quantity without causing any scratch. SOLUTION: In the ball machining device provided with a fixed disk 1 having a notch section 3 at a part of the disk, and a grinding wheel mounted therein, with a plurality of concentric circle-shaped grooves, where balls are rolled one its one side; and a rotary disk 2 facing the groove side of the fixed disk 1 and mounting a grinding wheel with the same number of the concentric circle-shaped grooves where the balls are rolled. The pressure-applied balls as a machining object are retained between the facing grooves of the fixed disk and the rotary disk. Mounting surfaces of the grinding wheels mounted on the fixed disk and the rotary disk are inclined at 5-45°from the horizontal direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
