FUEL CELL SYSTEM

A fuel cell system which can detect the insulating resistance exactly even during control for avoiding high potential. The fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell (40) generating electricity through electrochemical reaction of fuel gas and oxidation gas, a section (90) for measuring the insulating resistance between the fuel cell (40) and an external conductor, and a section (10) for controlling the electricity generation state of the fuel cell (40). The control section (10) performs high potential avoidance control for preventing the voltage of the fuel cell (40) from reaching a high potential avoidance voltage threshold lower than the open voltage of the fuel cell (40), and alters the high potential avoidance voltage threshold when the insulating resistance measuring section (90) detects an insulating resistance.
