A Jew's mallow (Corchorus oitorius L.)-derived synthetic-resin-adsorbed fraction composition having an excellent vasodepressing activity, particularly an excellent anti-hypertensive activity, can be produced by subjecting a Jew's mallow extract solution to the adsorption treatment with a synthetic resin adsorbent, eluting the adsorbed fraction with an elution solvent, and collecting the adsorbed fraction. The Jew's mallow-derived synthetic-resin-adsorbed fraction composition enables to provide: a vasodepressing agent that is effective for a patient suffering from hypertension, produces no adverse side effect and is highly safe; a foodsuch as a health food, a health supplement and a food for specified health uses each comprising the composition; or a beverage comprising the adsorbed fraction composition.
